The time has come for us to take a look at our favourite campaigns this week, and the Christmas theme is ever-present amongst them!
A Christmas surprise at Kwik Fit
A trip to a local garage isn’t exactly one of the top things to do for youngsters these days, but these 10 kids didn’t really get a say in the matter when they were seemingly dragged along by their parents.
To promote its free winter safety check-ups, Kwik Fit has created a Christmas surprise for a few youngsters using hidden cameras in the garage’s waiting room.
The children bumped into a man that looks an awful lot like Santa Claus while in there. They were then surprised to find out he knew their names and proceeded to hand them gifts from his sleigh!
LEGO slippers
LEGO have made every parent’s Christmas dreams come true by manufacturing the first ever pair of LEGO-proof slippers.
They teamed up with a French branding company to create these slippers, which have extra spongey soles designed to protect your feet from the minefield of children’s bedroom floors.
The slippers will be given away at random to people who fill out a Christmas wish list on the LEGO France website. We all thought this was a really fun stunt to promote LEGO in the lead up to Christmas!
Sparkles, wishes and lots of clean dishes
The well-known washing-up liquid brand, Fairy, is supporting its long-term charity partner, Make-A-Wish, by hosting a giant Christmas bake sale in Westfield London.
Taking place on Saturday 21st November, singer and TV presenter Rochelle Humes will be hosting the event. They are promising to serve up enough cake for 12,000 people and will be showcasing their famous washing-up liquid by cleaning all 12,000 dishes with just one 780ml bottle.
The public is being asked to donate £1 for a slice of cake, and for each plate washed Fairy will donate an extra £10 to the charity. We thought this campaign was a really nice way to get in the festive spirit and support an amazing cause, while it also still showcases their product’s effectiveness.
H&M Christmas experiences
H&M has a range of festive experiences planned across three floors within its Oxford Circus flagship store in London. They will be hosting Christmas workshops for all customers who present their purchase receipts from the 19th November, for two days from 12-8 p.m.
Members of the public will be able to create wreaths and small decorations on the fourth floor, as well as being able to add screen prints to cushions purchased in-store.
The brand is also set to offer a gift wrapping service and card station from 18-24th December. Meanwhile, a DJ will be on hand most weekends between now and Christmas.
This is such a simple campaign, but a great way to create a little more engagement with customers and persuade them to spend a little more time in-store.
#WhoSaysNoToMentos?
With social media channels expanding and a new app on our smartphones popping up every day, Mentos wanted to highlight that connecting with people is simple, with a little help.
As part of their ’Who says no to Mentos?’ campaign, they enlisted children to take part in a hidden camera task. They had to challenge adults to turn the person next to them into a friend – all showcased in the hilarious video below.
